CUC practice questions - frequently asked questions

Plain answers about how CUC Exam Prep works: the exam, the questions, pricing, the free trial, and what you actually get.

No - and you should be wary of any site claiming otherwise. Every question here is original, written to mirror the style, difficulty, and judgment the real CUC exam tests. Each one comes with a plain-language explanation of why the right answer is right and the others aren't.

The CUC exam spans 7 domains: Ability to read and abstract physician office notes and operative notes to apply correct ICD-10-CM codes, CPT® codes, HCPCS Level II codes, and modifiers; Understanding of evaluation and management (E/M) guidelines for new and established office and outpatient services, as well as other E/M services such as consultations and hospital services; Knowledge of rules and regulations for Medicare billing — including incident to, teaching situations, and shared visits; Coding of ancillary procedures performed in a urology practice such as urinalysis, injections, etc.; Coding of surgical procedures performed by urologists such as cystoscopies, orchiectomies, prostatectomies, etc.; Medical terminology; Anatomy and physiology. Every practice question on this site is tagged to one of these domains.

The CUC exam has 100 questions and is completed in 4 hours. Our timed practice mirrors that length and pacing, so exam day feels familiar.
